Why is it useful the key storage?
At the early age of our company the key management system was the conventional one. I mean the simple wall cabinet where the keys were stored. As far as I can remember it has been worked very well in those times. Everybody could use the old system. When an employee arrived at workplace just filled the form and gets the key, then when the worker finished the job, gave back the key and leave his signature on the document. With time problems just popped up, missing keys, unfilled forms due to the required documentation the workers arrived already in bad mood at workplace, while they had to wait until the others had finished the documentation.
The employees’ behaviour changed from one day to other. They were not anymore colleagues; they became enemies because of the frustration. The work performance was worrisome.
I think that is the main reason why the management decided to investing in a modern electric key storage system. We knew that this problem somehow have to be solved. As long as this trouble exists our company goes down. It was not an advantage on our benefit. So we made an extraordinary meeting where we were thinking on the solution, we need a new key storage system, this should be a modern one. We were searching on the internet. We found lot’s of key storage system. One of them was very expansive and they had in the contract different terms and conditions. Others were too cheap and almost on the same level as ours. We could not find any solution on the internet so we had decided to go on a safe and security fair. I am so happy that we went on the safety and security fair. We met at the expo with many companies who were selling key storage system. Each has different Key-identifications systems. As I was informed, some of the company use contact chip for key identification. It is not so high-tech. Due to the contact chips it can be damaged by the usage of it. I was looking for the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID chip) and I met on the expo with the people of Loxtore. They are the creator of the Key management system that our company is needed. They showed us their product the RFID key management systems explain the function, how one use the key storage or valuable box storage.
We changed our business cards.
We went back to the headquarters in a hope of a successful business and share our experience with the other members of the management. They were impressed by the RFID Key storage. We talked over the pros and cons than made our decision.
The first time when the employees saw the installed key storage they were amazed of it. The greatest of the key storage is that the employees enjoy using it. They don’t need to filled different form of documents, instead just type in their PIN code on the LCD-Touch screen of the key storage cabinet. The key storage works faster than earlier. Our employees calm down. They get faster in the office and there is no more hostile conflict.
It was a great decision to buy a key storage cabinet from the Loxtore they are kind and helpful, there is no hidden terms in their “contract”. Since the key storage is in our facility there was any missing key. That is all in a nutshell.
